Zone View

See a DNS zone as a graph: who delegates it, its nameservers and their addresses, and the other zones that share them.

Zone View draws the zone a name is in: the parent zone that delegates it, its nameservers as the parent and the zone's own servers give them, the addresses of the nameservers, its SOA contact and primary, and its DNSSEC keys. Beside every value is how many zones share it.

Select a zone or an address to put it in the middle, or a shared value (a nameserver, a set of nameservers, an SOA contact, a key) to list the zones that have it. A few zones is a lead; thousands is a provider.

It shows what the ActiveDNS resolver saw while it looked names up. A server that refused to answer for a zone it was listed for is marked: a lame delegation, or a server failing for a while.
